Pros

The only pro is DTA would be a good opportunity straight out of school. It’s a great learning experience for someone who’s never had a corporate position. But proceed with caution. DTA also has a very toxic workplace environment.

Cons

Unfortunately there are many cons to be considered before applying for a position at DTA. 1. DTA operates in a niche industry. Unless you plan on working in this industry in the long-run, don't stay longer than a year . You won’t have as many transferable skills as you’d hope if you apply to other companies in the future, making job hunting more challenging. 2. DTA does a poor job investing in career growth. Management does not give constructive feedback on how to improve skills. If a mistake is made at work, then you’d likely get reported to HR for disciplinary action. Normal workplaces would give constructive criticism, but here you get called into HR’s office. Furthermore, management is very selective on who they want to move up to the next level (aka a promotion). If you’re close with the manager, then they’ll help out in reaching the next level. If you’re not close to the manager, then they won’t invest time their time into your career growth. 3. HR is very toxic for the workplace environment and strictly operates on what’s best for the company and cares little for employees. There were many incidents where HR was aggressive towards employees, specifically the female employees. HR was so aggressive to the point where female employees would leave the office crying. What made it even worse is management did nothing to discipline HR, making management equally guilty. HR is untouchable. There are many accounts of this behavior, which created a very toxic work environment. Employees constantly had to look over their shoulder in fear of being called into HR’s office. Unfortunately HR is the workplace bully and is the Ms. Trunchbull and while the rest of employees were Matildas just trying to do our jobs and survive. None of the employees deserved this and are all hard working individuals.

Pros

Small company so you get to know everyone Everyone is super supportive, no question is a dumb question Great pay with benefits and good paid time off

Cons

The work is very independent, not a lot of interaction with coworkers (but they plan to have more office events) It was a very "throw you into the water and hope you swim" training process Poor Management in some teams
