Pros
- Leadership truly cares about its employees - Collaborative culture - GREAT benefits - Wonderful people - Thoughtful Growth (always balancing growth vs stability) - this is a big deal, as I have been in many start-ups who scale too aggressively post funding only to "right size" at the end. - Great managers who care about their people - Decent work-life balance
Cons
- Start-up life is not for everyone - you have to be agile, willing to work with ambiguity, have initiative and ownership - Many SOPs are lacking - the company is transitioning from Series A to a Series B and there is growing pains - For those used to work in high structure environments this might be a con - I think of it as an opportunity to build and have impact in the long run
