Pros
The pros of working at Dent Wizard are slim to none. If I had to choose two pros I would say the benefits package is quite good and there were a few employees I have formed friendships with. I wouldn't say anything else positive about this company or its management.
Cons
I hope I can type as much as I'd like to under this category, as when dent wizard sent me a survey asking the same question they only gave me 500 characters to use and that was simply not enough to list all the cons. I have never worked for a company as dysfunctional as Dent Wizard. This company claims in its "core values" that it cares about its employees because we are their most valuable asset, that they encourage and will help promote personal and professional growth, that the quality of work dent wizard produces is far higher than leading industry standards. I have found all of these "values" to be nothing but a statement written on a piece of paper, never enforced or carried out by any management team member. My first month was when I started feeling very disposable, very ignored, and very confused while working for this company. I was told on my first day by a few management team members that they would always be around when I needed help or had questions. This statement was true for the first few weeks, but as soon as my new employee "novelty" wore off I found it increasingly difficult to get any of my managers to even answer a text message or a phone call in regards to my work. No one in Dent Wizard Canada wants to take any responsibility for Alberta. No management in Dent Wizard cares about their employees in Alberta. No management team member is willing to put the effort in to invest in their employees, grow their team, and produce a solid work environment in Alberta. I have worked with numerous technicians in my time at Dent Wizard and I can say that there's a few of them who can run this business more effectively than someone who has been appointed a "manager" or an "operations manager" The only thing management cares about in this company is their company cars, company credit cards, their yearly management "conference" aka vacation each year, and the promised bonus each year if they meet or surpass their goals. What Dent Wizard doesn't recognize are the technicians who work hard every single day to provide quality work for the company they are sorrily passionate about. Dent Wizard doesn't recognize the administration employees who handle the ins and outs and MORE than the job description entails. A team is made its best when it has a leader who genuinely cares about its members and promotes excellence. A team is broken when the leader only cares about themselves and constantly ignores,lies, and be-littles it's members. I believe Dent Wizard could be a very good thing for Alberta, but unfortunately as a now "former employee" my opinion probably matters as much to Dent Wizard as it did when I was working there. Be cautious before working for this company.
