Pros

If you like working with complex homelessness needs look at another company.

Cons

Your employer has a ‘Duty of Care’ to provide a safe and stress-free place of work for all staff. DePaul pride themselves in their policies! and in DePauls dignity and respect policy they highlight the importance of bullying. “DePaul is committed to protecting the dignity and respect of all those who work within the organisation. In particular, we are COMMITTED to ensuring that our organisation is free from ANY FORM of bullying or harassment at work and that our work environment is conducive to providing a high-quality service in an atmosphere of respect, safety and equality.” Two staff members have left due to bad, poor management after raising bullying allegations, they were victim blamed, gaslighted and not provided the necessary duty of care. The role is incredibly challenging and it’s fundamental that the team they have working with a marginalised community is capable, supportive, caring and dedicated to each other. The project has great potential but it will not have the capacity to do well if they are unable to tackle the culture and politics within the organisation. AVOID!!
