Pros

Unfortunately, I don’t think I have any pros other than there are some nice people working here.

Cons

I wouldn’t suggest working at DFCU. After working for the credit union for 2 years and seeing how the CEO treats employees and does business I wouldn’t suggest it. HR is also no help. Pay is also not great. I wouldn’t suggest banking here either due to situations that just get covered up. It’s unfortunate because there are some really good people working at the credit union. If leadership changes at the very top, there could be some hope for this place.

I'm sorry we didn't meet your expectations during your time here. Your comments are a surprise as we haven't received any comments like this from any of our exit surveys and interviews. We know we are not perfect and have areas to improve, but I would love more information from you as this is feedback that we don't typically get. Would you mind reaching out to me and giving me some more details about what you experienced so that we can work on improving those for the future? Best of luck!

Pros

Amazing culture, good benefits, pay is decent, and you learn very important life skills. Everything I've learned here will be able to follow me through my whole life.

Cons

Feeling burnt out can come pretty quickly. From the start to the finish of each day it's go-go-go attitude, all gas no brakes. It's very fulfilling and can feel really good like you're making a difference in people's lives, but it catches up to you with how much energy and focus you're putting into your work. On top of that, your Saturday shift is 5 hours long, which requires you to take a full day off during the week to avoid OT, but that's still 3 hours difference from a full day, so you have to make that up during the week (if you want to hit 40hrs) by skipping lunch breaks, or using PTO to make up the difference, or opening/closing everyday. Creates a lot of fatigue.
