Destination Concepts Response
4yThank you for taking the time to leave this review of your experience while employed at Destination Concepts.
Communication is vital in our day to day at DCi given the fast-paced nature of the events business. It is something we are consistently working on and have greatly improved since your time here in 2020-2021.
Regarding consistently pleasing clients, being in a service industry, client satisfaction is our primary goal. We, however, do not aim to achieve this at the expense of our team. The event industry, during the time of your employment, was experiencing unprecedented shifts while moving from live to virtual to live again. It was an industry-wide and worldwide challenge to maintain a sense of regularity during a pandemic. We are still working to fine tune internal processes to alleviate any strenuous circumstances that we can in fact control.
Your complaints of nepotism are confusing given at the time of your employment, we did not have any family relations employed within the department you worked in. Contracts (programs) are assigned to Account Managers based on seniority, experience, and client continuity.
In terms of alcoholism, which is a very offensive and serious accusation, DCi does not condone drinking during work hours. When onsite and after hours, our team is free to expense food and beverages in line with our policies and set per diems. Our Account Management team is on the road producing events and it would be unfair for us to expect them to pay out of pocket for food, beverage, lodging, and other travel related costs. We do provide alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for celebratory occasions such as the EOY meeting, wedding/baby showers, and holiday gatherings.
