Pros

Very bright people. Friendly informal culture. Top quality brands you can really identify with. Good salaries. International reach and scope. Serious company but still in the leisure and entertainment business - and that permeates down through the company, especially for celebrations. Great brand heritage. Excellent marketing organisation with very good continuous training. Basically fun, challenging and stimulating.

Cons

It's still a big corporation with all that that implies: complicated processes, constant stakeholder alignment, plenty of jumping through hoops, new mantras from the top that are mysteriously and silently replaced a couple of years later. Doesn't always live up to its purported values. At the end of the day, driven by the need to keep the City constantly happy, rather than doing what may be best for the company long term. There is little pro-active career management. Staff have to do all the running, get mentorship and proactively manage their careers, engineer change. No one will do it for you. Company is increasingly risk-adverse which stultifies creativity.

Pros

Pay & Benefits are wonderful

Cons

Unrealistic expectations towards employees Insurance benefits *Managers* are composed of front-line production leads and those who may oversee or supervise.* The work-life balance is severely lacking, and there are biased managers who add negative connotations to peers' actions without any solid evidence or knowledge. Furthermore, these managers often lack technical expertise regarding machinery and engage in excessive micromanagement of employees. The workplace lacks diversity as defined, and the hiring representatives are typically the same floor leads that micromanage peers creating unfair hiring process at Diageo. Many individuals who have encountered the corrupt practices lead reps in previous jobs are frequently denied opportunities.
