Thank you for your review. We’re thrilled to hear you find it easy to ask questions and find the work to be challenging in a good way - keep it up :) Don’t forget you always have unlimited access to Udemy and Deque University to continue to up-level your skills. At one year of service you also become eligible to receive your $3000 annual continuous learning allocation. We want you to use it! We appreciate your honesty in regards to feeling unsure about all available projects to work on. We encourage employees to have open communication with their Leads, Managers, and Directors with any concerns or questions. If you have any reservations please contact our Human Resources team. On our end, we’ll be sure to bring this topic forward into our weekly Senior Leadership Team session and brainstorm how we can potentially do this better. Diamond strives to align its values and mission to provide an open, transparent culture that offers engaging work for team members in all areas. Leadership is committed to fostering a team-oriented trusting environment that puts people first.

Pros

I've worked with them on and off over the years. - Diamond pays at market rate or above. - They work with startups and large enterprise - Usually don't work with outdated tools and processes - The partners actually do lead and are decent people who treat people well and are always trying to learn themselves plus be local community leaders. - Leadership are extremely technical and know their stuff - The teams they put together are generally competent, knowledgeable and are not usually jerks. - They actually observe holidays even for contractors. They're one of the better businesses I've had the pleasure of being involved with in my career. To respond to another contractor's dismay at being dropped when there's no work. Yeah, that's kind of what goes with the territory of being a contractor (and even full time these days). It's not personal, it's business and they take people on according to role and demand. With that said, they hustle hard for work to keep their teams employed.

Cons

- They are a dev shop, so if you're looking for a branding agency, this may not be the place for you. Or maybe it is. - Team members are often remote. Which can be good or bad depending on your perspective. They're trying to change this and have people come on site at least part of the time to build a more of a team "culture". They generally don't force people to do this though and some can't of course, if they're across the country or the world. - There aren't tons of perks like massage, ping pong, etc.. Seriously though, if you need these, I don't know what to say... Competency and good leadership are more important in my opinion.
