Pros
great pay and benefits. Company has great product and established reputation in the market.
Cons
With recent acquisitions came rapid growth and the internal atmosphere of the firm was not able to keep up. Terrible IT systems that are not integrated across business units and internal processes that don't work and don't make any sense. Low morale, lack of employee engagement, lack of respect/basic human decency in every day interactions between coworkers/managers/other teams (a lot of finger pointing, blaming, unprofessional and rude attitudes. I have seen managers literally yell at employees/each other). Terrible work life balance - nobody uses their full vacation time as it is culturally frowned upon here to have a life outside of work. A lot of bureaucracy and red tape - more junior employees are always kept out of the loop, and when we do new ideas to the table, managers always take credit for them. It seems as though managers are trying to keep their subordinates from advancing so that their own jobs are secured. There is very much a silo effect here - no cross training and no insight as to how the individual's function contributes to the overall business process.
