Pros

Great city; majority staff and some of the faculty are great, but their are a few rotten apples that ruin it for the institution. Just ask the students....

Cons

Some faculty are OVERPAID! Still teach the same way and they are not innovative. Most of the staff that make the place run are UNDERPAID. Ford has hired her friends/unqualified people with good salaries and neglected those who are in the trenches and make the campus run. Under Kimbrough while there were challenges, i.e. hurricanes, power outages, David Duke, TIV threats, COVID, etc. morale was NEVER as low it is now, the school was never $5million dollars over budget, the brand was never tarnished within the higher ed community as it is now, etc. dBut we don't blame Ford. She applied and the accepted her rehearsed, scripted responses. Why you take a Dean from a tier 2 at best instition over a sitting provost is unthinkable. The board selected her. To be honest they are to blame. Until the board is replaced with good, solid people who care more about the institution vs where they will park on campus upon arrival, things won't get better. The board needs to be completed overhauled! They are the problem!!!!!!
