Pros
- Paid weekly
- Great interactions with people at delivery locations
Cons
Treat you as a resource to drive trucks for crappy pay under very unrealistic and data driven time constraints. Management doesn't value the human doing the role at all. They valued the product to be delivered. They're more worried about getting the product delivered according to the schedule so they don't lose the contract.
If anything goes wrong with the delivery that's out of your control (i.e. traffic accidents that block the road), it's your fault no matter what. They don't look out for your safety as they say they do.
High turnover, low pay, and no pay raises;yet, you're expected to be able to immediately available if they need someone to run an overnight route. Also, no benefits.
If you're a hard worker, they will take advantage of you (i.e. have you sub for all routes, take routes no one else wants)
