Working at Disco has been an incredible journey for me. Nearly three years in, and I'm still thrilled to be part of a startup that prioritizes employee empowerment and support. Every voice matters, and every team member contributes to our vibrant workplace culture. Despite our fast-paced environment, Disco also places a strong emphasis on individual well-being, offering a generous holiday schedule and DisConnect Days to ensure everyone has the opportunity to recharge and thrive. It's this balance of empowerment and wellness that truly sets Disco apart as an exceptional place to work.
Cons
Even though every workplace has its challenges, it's tough to find any significant cons at Disco. If I had to nitpick, perhaps the fast-paced nature of startup life might not suit everyone's preferred work style. However, for those who thrive in a dynamic environment, it's more of an exhilarating ride than a downside.

Business outlook
Pros
- The perks and benefits are strong and feel thoughtful. It's clear the company is investing in people in a meaningful way.
- There's no micromanagement / a lot of trust here. You’re given real ownership over your work and the space to do your job without being micromanaged.
- The team gets together for offsites that are actually well done and enjoyable. The company prioritizes getting together not just to work, but hang out and remember that we're a team first.
- The company is genuinely leaning into AI in a practical way. It’s built into how people work day-to-day, which makes it a great environment to learn and stay current.
- You get to work with genuinely great people. Everyone brings something valuable, and the team dynamic is strong.
Cons
It’s a startup environment, which means things can move fast and require a lot of effort. That said, it’s also what makes the work exciting and gives you the chance to have a meaningful impact.
I've learned and grown more in my short tenure here than in a decade at larger companies. Our team is able to make immediate revenue impact with our work, which is very rewarding. It's very helpful to be a quick slack message or in-person chat away from moving actual mountains. A very lean and fast paced environment. It's really nice to come up with an idea or best practice for Disco where it's heard, discussed, debated, and then executed. My coworkers are the smartest people i've ever worked with.
Cons
This does not come without its stresses. There's always a big push to improve upon our product or solution here at Disco. There have been a lot of organizational changes in my time here, and they were quite jarring. Work life balance isn't perfect, but it's getting better. As everyone else has said, comes with the territory. So far the pros outweigh the cons.
