Pros
I have never written a glass door review before but after reading these reviews, felt compelled to do so. I joined Discussion Box as a Delegate Sales Executive with little to no industry experience. I was particularly drawn to the company due to them being woman owned and led, running events for women. Having recently graduated, I was concerned that having no experience, I wouldn't succeed in this role. The Founder who I interviewed with explained how she wanted to give young women opportunities they may otherwise have overlooked/been overlooked for. I really felt like Discussion Box would be a stepping stone for me in building my confidence. The CEO was extremely supportive and celebrated my achievements - I quickly became successful in the role and outperformed my peers who had been in the industry a long time.
Cons
There's a lot of 'noise' from disgruntled ex-employees on here which I feel is really unfair. Some of the lower level delegate sales staff and the delegate sales team leader created a really toxic work environment for other people - you can see their reviews on here. In particular, the team leader would actively encourage people to leave the office early on a Friday if the CEO wasn't in, creating a 'circle' of staff who for whatever reason, wanted to create problems. It's such a shame to read some of these reviews knowing they are from a set number of people who were just out to make trouble. The women in senior management are really supportive women and willing to give anyone a chance - but what you're reading on here are reviews from staff who didn't do very well and wanted to create problems for themselves and others.
