Pros

Camaraderie of colleagues. We often suffered in silence, but the palpable sense of compassion amongst the staff was comforting on "hard" days.

Cons

If you're looking for a healthy work environment to grow as a professional and hone your publishing skills, this place is very likely "not a fit" for you. The workload isn't the issue, it's the constant redirection that no amount of flexibility can accommodate. The "hard" part is involuntary subjection to the many moods of the CEO.

Pros

For me, being part of a strong, close-knit team is very important, so I'm all set on that count here. There are also solid opportunities for quick advancement, and management encourages creativity and constructive feedback. I think it's a great place to learn about the publishing industry. I'm also pleased with the benefits (health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks).

Cons

Sometimes expectations can stress you out, especially when the workload is heavy.

Cons

- The workplace is a constant struggle for survival, not a place to grow. - Managers thrive on fear, snapping at employees for problems beyond anyone’s control. - Urgent crises appear weekly with no one capable of fixing them, while the real culprits remain untouchable. - High turnover is the norm. Colleagues disappear overnight and replacements arrive clueless, creating a revolving door of frustration. - New hires are treated like temporary bandages rather than investments, poisoning the entire culture. - Communication is hollow, filled with buzzwords and fake motivation, leaving employees alone to navigate impossible expectations. - Micromanagement is rampant, yet guidance and support are nonexistent. - Problems escalate while employees are blamed for failures they cannot prevent.
