Pros

Above average pay for a shelter in portland

Cons

Mgmt consistently expects their staff to do more than themselves. Mgmt is filled with conflicts of interest. They’ll prioritize general needs of other mgmt staff over their employees. Mgmt often gaslights when you go to them with concerns. Program planning and budgeting is a disaster, and often affects employee morale. There are generally no opportunities for advancement. Very unsafe environment. Pts generally will lash out on you and not be held accountable.

Pros

If your site has a good culture, it is a wonderful place to work. I do not dread coming to work like I did at toxic workplaces in the past. The work I do feels meaningful and I feel that management cares about me, my progress, and actually wants to truly do our best to help those we serve, which unfortunately isn’t true for other jobs I have been in.

Cons

Communication breakdown between program managers and the executive team. Some things have been told to me by a program manager which executives don’t know about and won’t always uphold the promises that had been made by your program manager.

Pros

The only problem about this company is it's history of promoting internally

Cons

There are so many * Malicious gossip among employees is rampant * Low Pay * Managers with no social service experience. Example, a staff member with 1 year of experience was promoted to a Senior Program Manager position * Clients not held accountable for violating policies and/or rules * Frequent physical attacks on staff * Unsanitary working conditions
