      Trendy unicorn perks and tech kool-aid

      Cons

      Technical management is clueless about the product and users, company believes users are idiots (not all are even if many are), complete lack of coordination across product, horrible cross-time zone working, badly designed remote teams, mediocre colleagues who collect a paycheck, high level deals that explicitly destroy any equity you may have, endless repetition of the same organizational dysfunction

      Pros

      Compensation and benefits are great. Most people/co-workers are really nice people. COO can be compelling and offset the CEO - but only for so long.

      Cons

      When absentee exec leadership does show their face, they are constantly chasing the new shiny thing. No consideration for what has been in flight, planned, or even released. Projects, products and internal org structures change daily. Resources are thin and we're told to "adopt AI in all things within 6 months." Sr mgmt trying to stay relevant by "solving" problems that don't exist and pushing agendas that don't benefit anyone aside from themselves. HR asking people to write positive reviews to offset reality um... ok??
