Pros
Most members of the development team work remotely which was fantastic. I really enjoyed the work and working with the dev and devops team members.
Cons
As a remote team, there are no structures in place to give any real feedback that will be heard or resolve deeper conflicts. Any task or process issued are noted and taken care of but there are many underlying relational issues in the company that have been ignored for years. Any attempts by various staff members to address concerns are dismissed at best or the person is simply 'moved out' of the group or company. Unfortunately its the most toxic people who do the most damage that are in positions of authority with seemingly no accountability for their behaviour. Beware of any agreements or 'promises' that are not stated specifically in a signed contract. They say things very easily that they have no intention of fulfilling. They tend to take weeks to get a contract to you. If they say they will do an initial contract for a probation period and then move onto a permanent contract, it is not likely. You will forever remain on a contract.
