Nice people overall, but no one lasts - Anonymous Dominican University Employee Review

I love working at Dominican. Budget is tight at this time, which makes it difficult.

Budget is really not ideal.

* Loved teaching at Dominican university * Beautiful Campus * Hosted many interesting and exciting guest speakers

* Updated their employment standards/guidelines from "as needed" contract reviews, to mandatory reviews every 3 years, causing stress and pressure during and immediately after Covid (when the school's bureaucracy should have been supporting the teaching faculty, instead of criticizing professors who pushed for greater support for themselves and their students.) * Did not support professors or students durring and after Covid, * Failed to provide resources for reentry to a classroom setting * Located in the most expensive place in the Country, DOES NOT help with housing, DOES NOT provide financial compensation that accurately reflects the cost of housing and living in Marin (don't expect to buy any type of home in San Rafael as a professor here)
