Pros

Work with people Gain customer service experience Free or discounted food Working mostly in car, unsupervised. Can talk to family, friends or listen to music or learn while working. Will work with school schedule Can be a fun job Meet lots of different types of people, make friends with regular custom Easy work Get to know your area better

Cons

Very dangerous - drivers robbed often- pizza delivery driver on top 10 list of most dangerous jobs Mediocre pay, low mileage re-imbursement, no mileage for your 4th delivery if taking 4 or more on a run. No health insurance Having to deliver to people who never tip on a regular basis Use your own vehicle, run it to the ground If your vehicle isn't in good working condition, you can't work Rules & procedures change depending on who the manager is Require you to use your cell phone but don't reimburse or provide you with one Hard to get time off on weekends (busiest days) Forced to wear company jacket which is not much better than a sheet at keeping warm and dry No breaks (& you're not supposed to stop for food on deliveries) Have to pay for additional uniforms (points docked for worn out or dirty hats & shirts so you have to) You never know when you're getting off (they keep you as long as you're needed, no matter what) No way for customers to pre-authorize tips Working in very bad & dangerous weather conditions Sometimes have to put up with incompetent and inexperienced adolescent managers Have to hang flyers while waiting on deliveries..in extreme heat and cold, no mileage for gas used

Pros

Can be a fun environment. Can provide opportunities to make decent wage, highly dependand on the franchise you work for.

Cons

Some positions pay very low for the work they put in. This makes it harder to retain good employees to keep operations at optimal levels. Who wants to do 3 times the work as drivers for significantly less money?
