Pros

- They pay well, although a lot of it is tied up in discretionary bonuses - There’s some room for interesting work due to the start-up nature/culture of the company

Cons

- There’s close to no diversity at all in this company, so unless you’re Singaporean Chinese, be prepared to feel like a fish out of water. It’s not uncommon for most employees to converse in Mandarin or dialects in the office. And the few minority employees get tokenised in ‘employee diversity’ content. A lot of Glassdoor reviews talk about a good working environment and a tight knit team culture, but that’s only true if this very local, very Chinese culture works for you. - The company is centered around the CEO and what he wants. A lot of work gets done because of specific directives from him, and team resources get mobilised to do it. Even if the actual employees doing the work don’t necessarily believe that the work is necessary or doesn’t make sense, there’s no real opportunity to voice a different opinion (or maybe no one bothers to). - Not many competent employees in this organisation, which is ultimately why I left. People managers don’t have great management skills and many employees in my team were too junior, so overall the team lacked direction and proper leadership. It felt like I didn't have anyone to learn from or to mentor me either.

Pros

Working at Dornier MedTech means being part of a team that genuinely cares about doing meaningful work. The mission is clear and impactful. There is a strong sense of accountability across departments, and people take pride in doing their jobs well. The culture is collaborative and practical. Team members step in to support each other, especially when workloads increase or priorities shift. Cross training and learning new responsibilities are encouraged, which creates flexibility and strengthens the overall operation. If you are someone who likes to stay busy, solve problems, and contribute to smooth daily operations, you will likely thrive here.

Cons

Like any growing organization, there are opportunities to improve communication between teams and streamline certain processes as the company evolves. Continued investment in clarity around priorities and career development paths would make an already strong environment even better.
