Pros
Seemingly flexible environment which could be a fit for someone not dependant on the income.
Cons
I went through a protacted interview process with Double, was eventually offered a role, and turned it down as I was consistently stunned by the near-total refusal (or inability?) to answer any single question directly nor with clarity, transparency, or integrity, not to mention a clear, consistent timeline on next steps in the process. A real lack of respect for qualified applicants when they must repeatedly request clarity on the ground rules, the pay structure, and the expectations and many interviews in, are still receiving canned non- replies. Experienced and skilled EAs would never tolerate this longterm as we are trained to be detail oriented. Lastly, you will not find out until after a final offer is sent that your 1099 pay terms involve being paid *once per month*. Read the fine print on every single step of this process if you choose to become involved.
