Pros
Profitable, private small company owned by a single man. Lots of authority and responsibility are given to relatively junior professionals, in part because there are few senior people, and they are generally understaffed. The company is growing and spending capital.
Cons
Anti-professional environment. 'Can-do' attitude is more important than actually knowing what you're doing. HR policy is to seriously underpay all professionals, so there is high turnover among chemists, engineers, EHS people, basically anybody with a marketable resume.
