Pros

As much experience as you want to gain. If you hustle, you can leave with a ton of great knowledge in the digital marketing space. There are some really wonderful people there, if you're lucky enough to get to know them.

Cons

Unfortunately, there are some definite cons, which is why turn over is so high. The common thread you see in these glassdoor reviews is an issue with communication. And it's not just a little problem. The frustrating part is, this is not the fault of the employees, it's a problem with the owners and leaders. They’re aware of it, but fixing the issue is simply not a priority. As someone who was very dedicated to my job and my team members, I was sad to see the culture deteriorate and distrust begin to spread amongst the team. It’s simply due to layoffs, firings, people quitting, and unsuspected/unannounced changes. All of which are problems linking back to a lack of communication and transparency from the leaders of the company. And those leaders aren’t going anywhere. There is often a sense of competition for who can stay at the office the latest, which, for me, was not something I was interested in. Personally, I advocate for efficiency over duration in a work environment. For a natural health company, draxe.com really has no work-life balance to speak of (outside of customer service and a few other specific roles). If you do plan to keep overtime to a minimum, your lack of willingness to be on call at every moment will be noted. If you don’t get pressured into it over time (having all your work apps on your phone, communication on weekends, staying late on demand), you’ll be considered less hard-working than others. You will need an unrelenting “go-with-the-flow” attitude to make it at draxe.com. I rate it a 3 out of 5 because I was able to gain valuable experience, however, there were an equally disappointing number of unnecessary hurdles and poor decisions made while I was there.

Thank you very much for this extremely thoughtful review. We welcome and value honest, thoughtful, constructive criticism as we work to make this company a wonderful place to work. Communication is indeed an large opportunity for the company. Many on the team have expressed this in quarterly check ins and engagement surveys. Making the move from a start up to small business to medium sized business, we have experienced the common growing pains of that journey. Leadership has indeed made this a priority as the company has made many strides forward in this area through regular weekly stand ups, monthly company wide stand ups, company wide email announcements, and company wide newsletters. The feedback from the team over the last 18 months has shown a drastic improvement in this area (results of check ins and engagement surveys point to this), yet at the same time, you are correct that opportunity still abounds in this area. We are glad that you feel you gained a wealth of experience while on the team. It is never the desire of the company for our team members to work relentlessly. Our unlimited PTO plan was rolled out last year to give our team the flexibility to take time off when needed. The People Ops team regularly checks in to ensure team members are taking time off. We do wish this aspect of your time with us had been brought to our attention in order to give us the opportunity to address it. Again, thank you for your thoughtful and constructive feedback.

Pros

This is a fabulous corporate environment! Lots of healthy community snacks, teas, essential oils, and probiotics, as well as a break in the afternoon for everyone to do a little stretching and exercising. Lots of music and fun here, as well as TONS of productivity and growth. Upper management is all about productivity not just time in the chair - so they are flexible with days in the office or working from home. Love the happy attitude here. This company is going places.

Cons

Maybe one downside is the amount of growth is happening so fast that we need to have more space to fit everyone! It's a little tight right now. And benefits need to be a little better, like insurance and 401ks, maybe matching dollar for dollar every time an employee contributes. Those plans are always so good.
