Pros
job security because they will rarely fire anyone; casual work environment; located near a lot of restaurants; reduced tuition for classes at duke university; access to duke libraries; in general great place to work for a short period of time if you do not have much options, but do not stay for a long time; offices located off-campus so can avoid students
Cons
very bad pay (but living in durham is cheap); no room for advancement; no daily perks like food or drinks (no coffee, very infrequent meals); some people are good/great at their job but some are horrible-some do not have basic computer skills like how to use word or excel properly?; they talk a lot about how great it is to work for duke because it is one of the best employers in durham, but considering world does not revolve around durham and there are not many other employers in durham, i don't know how they can make such comparison. if comparing to companies outside durham, they are mediocre at best.
