Pros

At first, here is what I thought was good : - Work remotely - Collective Insurance - Part of your phone paid - 1 Mental Health Day per month - Paid Day Off on your birthday - "Unlimited" vacation - Cool activities and parties

Cons

I worked for Dulcedo for almost two years before unexpectedly be let go. I was blindsided by this because there was never any issues with my performance (reason they used) and nothing was ever mentioned during the weekly one on one meetings I had with my team manager . A few weeks earlier, I had also had my annual performance review, and again, only had good comments about it. They fired me on Monday and expected me to work all week, and TRAIN someone that was basically replacing me. After a little research, I found out that I was not the first that was in this similar situation. What they have been doing is they hire people that cost less and fire the senior employees because it costs too much for the same role. They also do it before you complete your two years because then you have no recourse with the CNESST meaning you can't put a complaint and go after them. For what I know, they have done this to at least 8 more ex employees. They pretend they care about their teams but the way they terminate people it makes you feel like you're just disposable. The workload is WAY more than what they say you will be doing and such a little pay. You basically work 24/7 because the influencers and content creators cannot be bothered to answer or send their work during your work hours. This definitely takes a toll on your mental health. The turnover in the company is INSANE. Looking back, almost every 2 weeks we had someone leaving and someone new starting. Working hard doesn't matter because the people that get promoted are the ones that get close to the directors. There is almost no possibility of growing in the company, so after a while you are just stuck doing the same job over and over again. They prefer to throw expensive parties instead of finding ways to keep their talents in house and make them grow. I used to recommend this company to anyone that would ask me about Dulcedo but honestly, RUN. They are better places out there that treat their employees better.

Thank you for your feedback. We take all comments seriously and strive to continuously improve our workplace environment. We would like to address some of the points raised in your review: Terminations: There is always a valid reason for a termination. The claim that we let go of 8 people without valid reasons is inaccurate. And, the claim that we let go of performing employees based on their seniority is entirely false. In fact, over 60% of our team have been with us for more than 3 years! Career Growth: We have a well-defined guideline for career growth within the company and accessible to all staff. This system is designed to ensure fairness and equity. It is not based on preference from the management. And this includes our internal recruitment process as well. When we open new positions with growth potential, we always advertise them internally before looking externally. All of our current management staff were promoted from within the company. Work-Life Balance: Account Managers are trained to establish and maintain boundaries. We do not expect our employees to work 24/7, but we do expect timely responses during working hours. Dulcedo Management has once again been certified a Great Place to Work® Canada. This was announced in May 2024 and it's the second time in a row we receive this accolade. This certification recognizes the company as a place of choice for top-tier talents to thrive. This is achieved based on internal surveys with staff, through genuine feedback. Therefore, our organization is composed of talent who are excited and satisfied with their place of work! We understand that being let go can be frustrating, and we empathize with your situation. While we believe there are several inaccuracies in your review, we continue to wish you the best! Dulcedo Group

Cons

The marketing department as a whole is a mess and revolving door of people coming in and getting fired or choosing to leave. Instead of leadership addressing the main common denominator of the problems, the choose to fire those surrounding the "issue". Forget about speaking up for yourself, stating your feedback, or making a complaint to the People and Culture's department, they're useless in offering any support to employees who actually enjoy their jobs. It’s confusing to see certain departments led by managers whose roles seem disconnected from actual revenue-driving work - they also lack the connections in the overall industry to offer anything to talent, instead they rely on asking others for their personal contacts and connections. The agents are the ones who drive sales at Dulcedo, I'd go as far as saying Account Managers do more work than the agents themselves, yet they receive zero commission for all the work they do. If those initiatives from marketing and social strategy were truly impactful, it’s hard to understand why top talent continues to leave for competitors.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience at Dulcedo did not meet your expectations. Regarding the comments on the marketing department, it’s important to clarify that the team has historically been quite small, often consisting of just one core member. Labeling it a “revolving door” may not accurately reflect the structure or dynamics. As with any performance-based organization, Dulcedo must occasionally make difficult but necessary decisions to ensure we uphold high standards across our teams. We would also like to address the comments about the People & Culture team. It’s disheartening to hear that you felt unsupported. Our P&C department is committed to listening and offering guidance to all employees, and we strive to create an environment where concerns are addressed thoughtfully and with care. Encouraging employees to speak with their direct manager is not a deflection, it’s part of fostering open, adult-to-adult communication. That said, when an issue requires direct involvement, the P&C team always steps in confidentially and appropriately. As for interdepartmental collaboration, our goal has always been to operate as a unified team. Collaboration between managers and across functions is encouraged and viewed as a strength, not a weakness. Each department contributes uniquely to Dulcedo’s success, and we recognize that no single team operates in isolation. With respect to the roles of agents and account managers, both are essential to our business model. Their responsibilities are different but complementary, and each plays a significant role in delivering value to our clients and partners. We sincerely wish you the best in your next chapter and thank you again for your feedback.
