Pros

The training i received at the beginning of my work was good (I started at a brand new store), however that was about it.

Cons

We were forced to lie to customers involving the freshness of our product. We were taught during our training to throw out coffee after 18 minutes, however that never happened. The regular coffee would sit there for hours if it wasn't a rush and you better forget about having fresh decaf because that has probably been sitting all day. We were also rushed to push out unfinished and inadequate products simply because they wanted low drive through times. I'm sorry but I think the quality of product is better that fast service. Another thing was that my general manager was always in my personal space. When he was trying to "help" when i was on register he would stand right next to me and shove things in my face that were to go out the drive through window. Also he would try to help make products and end up making them wrong and then blame the high drive through times on everyone else. Yet another thing wrong with working there was we were never stocked with anything. By 11 o' clock we were out of almost every kind of bagel and our doughnut case was half empty. Then we would get yelled at by customers about the lack of product.

Pros

Every once in a while you are granted a 15 minute break

Cons

There are significant concerns regarding management’s leadership and communication practices. Employees often receive criticism in a manner that feels disrespectful rather than constructive, and support from management is limited despite high expectations placed on staff. Professional boundaries are also a concern, as discussions between management and employees about employees occur inappropriately among coworkers. Greater emphasis on respectful communication, employee support, and professionalism would help foster a more positive workplace culture. They also promise pay, after employees were not paid correctly management basically state “too bad I can’t fix it” even though that is illegal in the state of VA.
