Pros
I was blessed to be put inside a Business Unit (BU) and division where there are efforts to provide proper guidance for a first timer in the industry despite the BU structure is close to nonexistent. Another benefit is there are relevant courses that the company will give you time off to attend which will help you in your OJT. There is 14 days annual leave, 2 days self care leave and 1 birth day leave which is excellent even for a newbie. You can even claim for your transport in between work sites. Sometimes there are BU events such as overseas retreats which newbies can also attend to build up camaderie.
Cons
The work can get too hectic and the expectations may be too high. Sometimes the business unit's director, which is paid by the company, has too high expectations. There are room for expectations to be managed despite evolving residents' thinking. Time off cannot anyhow use and cannot be discounted as part of your notice period. Even after you serve your notice period, you cannot finish handing over everything in your task to your teammates.
