The supervisors are all brilliant people, patient and outgoing. Coworkers vary by season, but the management style makes it easy to quickly bond with your entire peer group. Mileage reimbursements were pretty nice to have. Genuinely pretty good work experience for a variety of biology careers.

Very high performance is expected beyond the early season. With careful attention and due diligence, it's possible to perform the work safely, but all intellectual and physical work has to be done with speed in mind. This can make physical safety an issue sometimes.

Working outside, barely any interaction with upper staff.

They will only give you extra training if they think you may come back next year. If they can tell that you aren’t likely to come back, they push you off to the side and tell you, I’ll train you later, later, later, until you are no longer employed with them. Any outside ideas of how to improve, are judged and overlooked.
