Pros
You handle your own claims without much guidance but you better have relevant experience and be ready to fully navigate on your own.
Cons
The culture here is awful. You are a number and no one cares about anyone else. Most only care to pass the hot potato. You may meet a handful of caring co-workers if you are lucky but most leave. You will likely be assigned a massive amount of open and brand new daily claims from the second you start with zero training or guidance. This includes old claims and closed claims that still require handling for any bills, inquiries etc. You will quickly realize their expectations are absolutely unrealistic and unfair to you the employee who they quickly burn out, the good employers who count on you and the claimants who are truly hurt. You cannot take any time off without further drowning as most of the time your new daily queue claims are not covered while you are scheduled for PTO. Be ready to cover though because it’s “expected!” Absolutely no training aside from irrelevant new hire HR or yearly required HR videos, new release meetings and unrelated Webex meetings. Many new employees that onboarded with good similar intention seem to have disappeared without giving notice shortly after realizing the above. Many around walked out without saying anything.
