Pros
- Decent pay rate (per hour) - Work from home - Decent amount of hours per month when essay volume is at its highest - Great for people who enjoy using their attention to detail and intelligence at work - Flexible hours and scheduling
Cons
- Scoring leaders' interpretations of essays varies (you get a different scoring leader each day) which can make day-to-day scoring tricky sometimes. I have had some scoring leaders give me information on how to properly score that has been proven by the company's training and advice to be incorrect... - While working with scoring leaders is usually a positive experience, some scoring leaders are not diplomatic and assume they are right about everything just because of the position they hold. This can lead to some patronization on the job... - With the nature of the job comes an unpredictable amount of hours per week/month; so you cannot depend on this job to be a primary source of income and can, at most, depend on it to be a solid 2nd source of income.
