I think that it would be incredibly useful for this website to have a dialogue feature. Especially because the employee reviews are so different to the customers reviews. Customers don’t have a direct line of communication, whereas the employees always have contact details to give feedback privately to the people they worked with in the past.
I don’t like how some companies turn reviews into a competition for ratings, I hope our company never turns to that strategy. I think every review is valuable and can help us learn and be better in the future.
You have raised some good points that justify a discussion to be had here. I agree we can work on doing better and being kinder and less arrogant. And as you mention later, no-one is perfect and knows everything (I assume that was a typo) so there is always room for growth
A very interesting point you raise is “you employ people for their insight and not their work”. I see how this could have become a cornerstone misunderstanding between us.
I believe that, excluding consultant and advisor roles, we employ people for both their insight and their work. I would even say that I put persons good work in their role first, and the insight they provide to me or others second. Its just what works for us at EARTH AI.
I’m not trying in any way to claim that I am right, and this is the only way to do it. Many other successful companies have an opposite approach and it works great for them.
I’m really sorry we miss understood each other during the recruitment process and I am very thankful that you posted this feedback openly on Glassdoor.
