This place has the worst management I have seen. The assistant grocery manager would secretly report you to HR and write you up without talking to you directly first, and then the next time you clock in for your shift, you are left wondering why you are in the HR office getting a write up. He also has favoritism issues and schedules your shifts based on how fond he is of you. For example, when I was working there I was always getting closing shifts, and when I asked the manager for some opening shifts after I messaged him, he would leave me on read. But he gave his favorite coworkers morning and mid shifts. Another time I messaged him to let him know that I could not come to work to that day because I was not feeling well and he left me on read, so I had to contact the front end lead . Also that manager has been known to curse at staff and there was one instance were an employee was trying to talk to him about his behavior and him and HR were telling this employee that she was making it up and causing issues. If I were to complete some tasks and sign up many customers up for the loyalty program, it would be overlooked because the only time I would be acknowledged by the manager is when I make a mistake, but when one of the other employees he is fond of would complete a task he would make sure to thank them. Speaking of HR, god forbid that you have an issue with a manager they will tell that manager what you said and then schedule a meeting with you to talk about what a horrible employee you are. In addition, the grocery supervisor has the tendency to air out your mistakes in the team group chat because he thinks that he is superior to you and wants to let you know that you are incompetent at your job if you leave a gap in the shelf while facing the merchandise. He has times where he shows concern and speaks to you privately but that is after he reports you to the manager. The times I gotten written up I did not even get a warning first. And if a rude customer decides to get mad at me for any apparent reason I would get in trouble for that. It does not matter how well you work over there management will always find any reason, excuse, or twist and exaggerate about what happened so that they will get rid of you if they do not want you there. Overall terrible company to work for. HR and the director do not care. Management too. This company is not worth your mental health.
