Pros
Colleagues are very hard working and great to work with
Cons
- The management group are incredibly inexperienced. For most of them it's their first or second job and none of them have taken the time to do management training before assuming the responsibility of an almost 100 person company. - At Echobox it was normal to bend the truth significantly, we ended up with a number of upset customers who were misled by our marketing or sales staff under the guidance of our CEO. - There is a growing number of perfectly reasonable employees at echobox who have left incredibly disgruntled. - We have to sign 100 different NDAs at Echobox, they are overly paranoid about "their ideas" leaving the company. There are lots of "need to know basis" projects at echobox - no one knows whats going on and it makes communication a massive time sink. - Echobox regularly turns threatening you with a lawsuit when they dont get their way. - Salaries are super low compared to the industry standard - People dissapear without any proper explanation from managers. It makes for a really uncomfortable atmosphere. - The CEO is too involved with the day to day of the employees. - Management style at Echobox is to micro-manage and oversee all work produced by sub-ordinates. Quite boring to work in this kind of environment. - The social side of Echobox could be vastly improved - Absolutely 0 provisions or investment in people, mental health etc. Many similarities with behaviours described in "Bad Blood" by John Carreyrou
