Pros

There are no pros. You will be smart to stay away from the controlling and evil owner who can make anyone's life hell!

Cons

From the moment you join, the top management will blatantly lie to you. Their care, concern, and happy words are all fake. In reality, the owner is an evil person who just wants to earn more and more money. The owner is also a control freak who wants to micromanage everyone without caring about how stressful it can be to tolerate being monitored all the time. BEWARE!

Pros

It's not hard to get hired. Not having to be in the office is nice. If you enjoy getting dirty, it's fun.

Cons

The owner says one thing and does another. She won't allow you to take test that will advance you position and wage. Some inspectors are salesman & don't truly do the inspection. Which as a tech it is hard to do my job. & deal with customer complaints. The employees are unhappy and fight amongst each other. The trainers put you in dangerous positions so you will fail. For their own job security. It is the lowest paying pest control company @ minimum wage A hard job in sub areas & attics in summers heat - 110 degrees + spraying chemicals that are harmful. The customers are always dissatisfied Nothing you need for the job is provided for new employees • drill $100 • flash light & head lamp $ 40 • knee pads $15 Also you have to fight for the equipment that is available to do the job. They will nickel and dime you to death. They make you sign away their liability so you can get sued.

It is much easier to deal with issues one on one. If an employee has legitimate issues and brings them to the person who can do something about it, the issues get resolved. My question to this employee who has not come to the CEO and voiced these concerns and has been working here for over a year. WHY, if this is true? The CEO, who has been in this industry for over 37 years and has employees working for her for over 30 years is required to follow rules and regulations. She does not hire people at minimum wage. She is a person of her word and that is very important to her. If a person wants to test, Ecola encourages this and gives $1.00 increase for every license that is passed and pays for the first attempt at accomplishing this goal. The industry requires time on the job before it allows a person to take certain tests. This is by Structural Pest Control Standards. Equipment that is needed for the job is quickly given to each employee. This job is not easy and it is dirty. It is very hot in the attics. Ecola uses traditional and alternative treatments to minimize the use of chemicals. If an employee or anyone is unhappy they should voice their issues to someone that can fix it.
