Work from a pool so at the mercy of what is in the queue; even though contractor status, not very flexible (need a license to be able to work), feels a lot more like employee status, sometimes low work. All medical transcription service organizations pay too little, expect too much and do not appreciate the people that work for them. It is a thankless job. You pretty much only hear something if you did something wrong. I would not recommend this line of work to anyone. Used to enjoy doing this work but no longer in the working conditions we have to endure.
