Pros
The employees at Effectual are highly intelligent and capable.
Cons
Leadership doesn’t seem to know what they want and there is hardly any transparency about the long-term goals of the company. There is an identity crisis in which Effectual isn’t sure if they want to be a consulting or a product company and the lack of alignment was evident. The churn was noticeably high including senior-level employees and executives coming and going in a short period of time. Most of the time, there was no warning at all prior to termination and momentum on projects would be halted due to key members being laid off. My entire department was laid off with no indication of low performance or that leadership had other expectations. I had even just gotten a raise a few days prior to being laid off.
