Pros

- Fun staff to be around - Small discount as an employee (25% off everything, $2 for coffee, and a few more) - Employment at the company is fairly easy. Little or no qualifications are required. - Some good management staff. In particular, the operations manager was quite helpful and approachable with staff concerns.

Cons

- Paid minimum wage, with extra income only coming from tips (restaurant tips may or may not be shared at very inconsistent intervals). - There is a lack of efficient, organised training for employees. New employees may sometimes be thrown onto a shift with less than enough supervision and expected to pick up things by themselves. - Shift managers are neglected. You are given more responsibilities with no extra pay benefits and aren't properly trained for the position either. This left different shift managers doing jobs in an unorganised, non-uniform way. - Working very early and up to very late. Long restaurant - As with any customer service position, you have your fair share of good and bad experiences and customers. Some of the negative experiences with customers at this restaurant arise from regulars and those familiar to the boss, who will come and go as they will with less respect for staff. While some can be nice, these regulars may disregard the need to introduce themselves or expect staff to give them benefits for being a relative/friend to the boss, for example. This often led to many employees being placed in awkward and difficult positions to properly communicate with customers.
