Pros

Most people working here are great people. They want to work hard and help the company achieve its goals. The overall product is a fantastic concept worth pursuing.

Cons

The management team is awful. The midlevel managers and team leads are great, but the upper management has no idea what they are doing. They expect you to be working 24/7, have little respect for your personal time, and then wonder why you are burned out. This is especially true in the engineering departments. Management has often received valuable feedback and data directly from employees, anonymous surveys, and generated reports, and generally chooses to ignore it while claiming they value it. This has resulted in multiple layoffs within a 3-year period, as well as good employees and managers leaving for something better. Most who survive the rounds of layoffs only stay because they haven't found anything better.

Pros

EPS gives its engineers opportunities to work on lots of cool projects. Larger companies would not provide the same experience or would work at a much slower pace. The projects are interesting and have critical applications all over the world. Employees learn lots in a short period of time here. The people are also great to work with.

Cons

The work load can be a bit much at times, even though EPS is no longer a "startup" often times I still refer to it as such. Also feedback to management can often feel like it falls on deaf ears.
