In my experience, most staff are doing their best to meet the needs of their clients, advocate on their behalf, and management seems to sincerely want their employees to feel supported in that work.

As always, in the social work world, you are going to come across co-workers who are more interested in affirming that they are the "good guys" than in holding themselves accountable to their own professed values. Some folks I worked with could be doing more to check their internalised classism/racism/ableism/transphobia.
