Pros

I have worked for Elmhurst nearly 8 years and had the opportunity to move up to senior leadership in that time. I have had the opportunity to work along side the senior leadership and have learnt a lot in their company. The company has excellent values and always looks to ensure staff are treated fairly. They run a number of social events and promote working in the office. The directors and chairman are often in meetings with us and are always available to chat to and regularly come for a general chat without prompt. They run a quarterly staff briefing which promotes the communication and awareness of how the business is doing and any new initiatives or concerns outside of the business. I think Elmhurst did an excellent job at getting through Covid and are generally leaders in the sector. Its been great to have been part of the story and be able to have an impact on the business so far.

Cons

As with many organisations that are growing and our successful the workload can be heavy going a lot of the time.

Pros

Elmhurst has an amazing and supportive environment. The environment in the office is relaxed and friendly, every one in the office is friendly and welcoming to everyone. The dynamic of the office is very diverse which supports and welcomes everyone from all backgrounds, regardless of race, sexuality, disability etc. The company is very social and holds numerous social events across the year such as a Christmas party, summer BBQ, painting workshops and more.

Cons

The company does not pay very well. I could move to another company and be earning £5K+ per annum more than what I am earning at the moment whilst doing the same/similar role. If you are fresh out of college/university with little to no experience, than Elmhurst is for you. However if you are quite experienced and are expecting a higher salary to match your experience, then Elmhurst may not be for you,
