Emerald takes the time and resources to grow your skills and advance your knowledge in the financial industry. Working at Emerald, I gained a lot of valuable skills including the use of Excel for financial modeling, opportunity to meet with different companies management teams and provide thoughtful questions on recent company performance to gain additional knowledge, which will be relayed to portfolio managers when providing updates on the stock. Participated in a stock-pitch competition.
Cons
There were not a whole lot of downsides to working at Emerald. It is a very easy-going environment, however that can sometimes lead to communication errors.
