Pros
Doing much needed work to lead community efforts related to workforce development, and further targeting areas of Indy that are most disinvested for greatest impact. As an employee, I feel that leadership is transparent and out to do good. I feel valued and compelled to work hard toward the goals of the organization. The benefits and pay are better than one would expect from a nonprofit - as an employer they are true to how employers should compensate employees. The organization fits well as a non-partisan, quasi-political entity whose strategy should stand up through the next city election. We have been adding employees and growing fast with talented individuals.
Cons
There are many things moving at once, and lots to manage in that respect. It is tough to get the full scope of the entire organization, as there are competing priorities.
