Pros
We have a very collaborative and inclusive culture at Empower. The benefits are great and have improved over the past two years, which is nice to see. I enjoy being a part of a team that is 100% comfortable with remote workers, allowing for a great deal of flexibility and helps with work/life balance. Upper management is always in touch with employees and with what is happening across the business and open to ideas for improving how we work. It is unlike anything I have seen in 20+ years and very refreshing. Middle managers are very much in tune with their team's work and supportive. We have a strong commitment to training here that is also impressive and it makes us stronger together as we grow and win. Employees are proud to work here and that feeling comes through every day. We have great Business Resource Group options, too.
Cons
Our large team is spaced out across the U.S., so it makes it challenging and cost-prohibitive to get together in person. With massive growth comes the reality of needing significant lead time to get certain tasks done, but we have pros always looking at ways to improve efficiencies. Overall, we are still more efficient than some large companies I have worked at in this industry.
