Pros

1. Free micromanagement training—because you'll get micromanaged so hard, you’ll become an expert yourself. 2. Managers let you take initiative… just kidding, they don’t know enough to let you.

Cons

1. Every decision requires 14 approvals, including what font you use in emails. 2. Management expertise includes Googling, guessing, and blaming you. 3. Your job description? Do what they say... even when it's wrong.

Pros

The other developers that work here are wonderful people.

Cons

-Work has dried up for the company. -You have a 95% chance to be either working in legacy code systems or working in a low code/no code platform called Decisions that Emprise pitches to companies so they get kickback money due to their partnership deal. -Management has no idea how to run a tech company, overpromising results without even having the projects estimated. -The owners of this company in response to their dwindling work decided that the solution for this was to have employees return to office, rather than putting any effort into fixing their management. -This company can and will lay you off at a moment's notice. -In 2 years of working here, I saw about a dozen developers quit or be laid off, and not a single person hired. -Health insurance is bad and does not cover anything. -Micromanagement, micromanagement, micromanagement. -Tells you their slogan is "Developing Developers". What this actually means, is that when the company has no work, they will let you learn on your own, with no assistance or resources. -Treats long term employees differently than others, not holding them to the same standards.
