Pros

Great pay, ability to work with patients and improve their hospital experience

Cons

Poor work life balance, very fast faced, held to perfectionism standards, lack of autonomy with your time due to excessive meetings which affects your ability to complete discharge planning with patients. Most administration only cares about numbers rather than the patient's preferences.

Fair wages & positive rapport with therapy team

Cons

Poor leadership/administrative management team Mixed messaging on expectations/standards Questionable execution of ethical practices High case loads and no plan of support for staff Unreasonably high expectations/weight of metrics placed on Case Mgt team and treatment team staff rather than focus of best practice outcome for patients (bc admin does not want SNF rate to increase or NRC score to drop) Admin create culture that fostered several constructive discharges of staff members No work/life balance
