Yes, the Medical/Dental/Vision benefits are great. Yes, the additional reimbursement program is great. And yes, the 401(k) matching is nice. But the where the real fun lies is the ability to be working on many various fields of Electrical engineering! I have been here 8 months, and have worked on hardware and software projects with two different teams. So, if you like to learn new things without having to constantly move around, this is the place for you!

Terrific professional engagements augmenting several IC design and verification projects at several large companies IC design companies. I would never have had this at any of my other employers. Met many thoroughly professional dedicated people. Satisfying work and considerable personal professional growth challenge. For a time there were several internal tech presentations that expanded my knowledge of the rest of the IC design process I barely knew. There was company-wide recognition for a a few folks who produced skillfully written presentations.

Developers are isolated to their projects so other than the handful of tech presentations there was only a little opportunity and almost no push to learn from the other developers and be able to grow their skills into mine. Pretty much have to be senior level already in order to be picked up for most roles. But maybe it's unrealistic to expect such a company to help sw people transition to sw-hw, hw, DFT, OVM, UVM, formal verification...
