Pros

Hiring was difficult, but once you begin they assume you are competent. Excellent work life balance, exciting work!

Cons

Wouldn't call them cons, persay, just growing pains of a startup of this size

Pros

I get to work with a lot of smart people that are willing to teach each other. Learning how to use the infrastructure is a bit of a learning curve because it is quite different from most other hardware companies. One of the perks of working at a startup is that there is little bureaucracy so the turn-around time from technical proposal to implementation can be quick. Hardware start-ups are quite rare, but it is even rarer for one to have its software and hardware development infrastructure fairly standardized and seamless when collaborating with different teams. While most companies reverted back to a return-to-office or hybrid model, Enfabrica still allows employees located far away from the HQ and satellite office to work fully-remote.

Cons

The fast-paced working environment may not be suited for people who are used to working at Fortune 500 companies. If you do not keep up the pace, everyone on your team will notice quickly. I think the cash compensation could be at least 15% higher at today's AI hardware startup market, but the flexible work-from-home policy compensates for this.
