Pros

Entourage is growing at a rapid rate which is a huge plus for those of us in the commission world. It's the perfect environment for a no non-sense go-getter. The sky is the limit - literally! I was presented with an offer letter before I started. I had the chance to negotiate the sales goals and commission/bonus structure before accepting the position which, from what I understand, is pretty standard with all the positions in the company. I have direct contact with the CEO regularly to bring up any questions or concerns I may have. He works with me on fly all the time which I appreciate. The job is pretty easy (and financially rewarding) if you're organized, communicate regularly and have a can-do attitude!!

Cons

Glassdoor Reviews. First of all Glassdoor is a complainers forum, just like Yelp. Glassdoor doesn't have a way to reach the company's current employees to ask for reviews so it's very biased platform. Current employees aren't looking for jobs hence why they aren't going to run out and put a review on a recruiting site they aren't connected to - which is why when I heard about Glassdoor, I decided to write my own experience as a current employee. Going through the reviews, I've noticed that many of the negative reviews were written by those terminated by the company for underperforming. Clearly they're disgruntled. A few even wrote multiple reviews!! How unethical!! The company DID have a toxic environment cultivated by a few former employees who are NO longer employed by the company, thank goodness! I enjoy coming to work each day. I will tell more of my coworkers to post about their experiences!

Different events keep daily work interesting. Team members help quickly during last minute event related situations. Managers don’t micromanage. Good learning around vendor coordination and client communication skills. Fast moving environment. Competitive pay and benefits.

Pros

Some of the servers I worked alongside actually weren't terrible.

Cons

Every idea about how to run things better gets this polite smile and 'we've always done it that way' and then absolutely nothing changes, which honestly gets exhausting. The management acts interested in what you think but you can tell nobody actually cares because they're too settled in how things are, too comfortable with the mess, and they'd rather protect the status quo than fix anything. There's this weird invisible hierarchy where people who've been there forever get better treatment — better shifts, more trust, actual acknowledgment — and everyone new just figures it out eventually or leaves. I tried raising operational stuff that would've made the actual work easier and got smiled at and nodded at and watched nothing happen, zero follow-up. They say 'we're like a family' but families actually talk to each other and try to solve problems together, not just tolerate dysfunction while the same people stay comfortable.
