The company has 2 values that get flaunted that I question:
"Be excellent to each other"
"Be the Joneses"
Well, here's the problem - other tech companies in the valley offer paid benefits (not a cruddy high deductible / $600 a month family plan), 5-20% annual bonuses depending on company position, better PTO plans, and etc... Entrata is not being excellent to its employees or being the Joneses by giving employees a t-shirt and an occasional trip to the movies. It's fun, but ultimately doesn't help an employee provide for their family. That's the x-factor that retains your BEST employees.
