As the company has grown, it's increasingly sought out of state work, which means required overnight travel has become more common. During the busy field season there's often more work than employees to do it, which results in stressful periods with very poor work-life balance. Post-COVID remote work has largely been discouraged with a push to return to the office, which is a fairly open floor plan and can be extremely distracting. Compensation is wildly variable (employees sometimes talk); there are some very valuable employees who don't get paid enough, and there have been some poor employees who got paid above the curve. Some in upper management are not great, with a hint of toxic culture.
